Several Leica CloudWorx products have a small but important update.

With the recent introduction of the new Clipping Manager in several of the Leica CloudWorx products we found a limitation that we felt was important to resolve. This release of these several versions addresses that issue.

With the new clipping manager, limit box or slice is added to the previous cloud cut operation. This disabled a previous working method. Previously, CloudWorx users could define a new box or slice and the previous cuts we abandoned and point data filled the newly defined area only.

There is now a new option that allows users to work in either mode. The option toggles between the new advanced clipping mode and the old clipping mode which uses a single limit box and slice. With the single limit box or slice scheme, defining a limit box will override any existing limit box. Similarly, defining a slice or section view will override existing slice or section view clippings. Fence clippings are not affected by this change.

The release notes of each product describe the usage of this new option. The products that are now updated are:

Leica CloudWorx for AutoCAD v4.2.3

Leica CloudWorx for MicroStation v4.2.4

Leica CloudWorx for SmartPlant 3D v1.2.1

Leica CloudWorx for SmartPlant Review v4.2.1

In addition to the new clipping option, Leica CloudWorx for AutoCAD has also been updated to avoid the cloud regenerations after each clip. This fix was already incorporated in earlier releases of the other products listed here.
