DBX jobs – data interoperability between 1200 and Viva
For those people using a CS10/15 Viva controller, in conjunction with a 1200(+) instrument, to work 1-man, please be aware of the following; if you are creating ‘jobs’ on the Viva, storing them to a CF-Card, then using the same card within the instrument, ensure you tick the “use with System 1200” option when creating a ‘New Job’.
This means that the DBX job data (.X files) are stored only in the DBX folder, and not within a sub-folder on the card – which the instruments cannot see.

In contrast, the Viva stores data in job-names sub-folders, inside the DBX directory, invisible to 1200 total-stations.
