Viva – Export to Google Earth
In line with the latest firmware release for Viva (v3.00), Leica have developed a Google Earth format-file. The .kml FRT works on both TPS and GPS systems, exporting the Google compatible file straight to the data folder. In addition to viewing points superimposed within Google Earth, photos taken on-site and assigned to points can be view on-screen, attached to the ‘PushPin’ point marker. For those occasions where some background geographic visualisation would benefit the dataset/client, this new format-file is a quick way of viewing data, as seen on-site.
