The Bank Station Capacity Upgrade is a project which involves improving the public transport for Bank station and improving the station capacity itself, improving the travel time and increasing the frequency of the trains travelling through the station.

Bank Station is located in the heart of the City of London’s financial district. A major transport gateway, it is strategically important to London and the UK’s economy, and a network-critical destination and interchange station for Transport for London (TFL). With well over 100,000 passengers using the station during peak periods, just under 400,000 journeys every are made through the station every weekday. The effective operation of Bank Station is critical to both the London Underground (LU) and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) networks.

In April 2016, Dragados was awarded the contract to increase the capacity of Bank Station. The "Bank Station Capacity Upgrade" (BSCU) aim was to solve the problems of the third most congested interchange complex within the London Underground Network. Bank and Monument together are used by more than 120 million passengers a year. The project will provide improved passenger access, circulation and interchange. These improvements will provide 45% additional capacity during peak hours, plus reduced journey times.

SCCS provided integrated solutions from Leica Geosystems and Amberg technologies, for increased efficiencies during the construction upgrade project.
