Successful Evening Networking on the Thames

This year’s Networking on the Thames evening with the CICES proved again to be a great success. With sponsorship from SCCS and Maxim, the Mercedes sailed from Westminster Pier at 18:30 down the Thames past Greenwich turning around at the O2, before heading back up the river for a mid-way stop at Tower Pier (Tower of London), then continuing past the centre of London again this time passing parliament and heading up to the Albert Bridge in Chelsea.

Ian Cowling, CICES president

The cruise was attended by around 65 people including Ian Cowling and was considered a great success by CICES SE regional Chairman Dr Brian Whiting. The president Ian Cowling commented that it was a very pleasant way to spend an evening networking with friends and members of the institution on such a wonderful event, the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Steven Thurgood BSc MCInstCES, Monitoring & Solutions Consultant SCCS

Steve Thurgood SCCS Monitoring & Solutions Consultant and CICES member who was part of the organising committee for the event said “We were very pleased with the event and SCCS were happy to jointly sponsor again for 2018. SCCS and the CICES have a long-standing professional relationship and with such events which have great attendance and are enjoyed by all we were proud to be a part of it.”
