If you have done a survey, especially if it contains hundreds of topo-points, and you cannot see the Job when you go to export it, there is a solution!

Infrequently and often when the CF- or SD-Card has not been formatted regularly, you may appear to lose your job from the Management list.

This is because the job has lost the .XCF file from the DBX data – this piece serves to combine Point ID’s / coords / Codes etc like a spider-web; if the .XCF becomes corrupt or is lost, all the constituent parts of the job cannot merge together.

Solution: copy an old .XCF file from a similar previous job. Paste this into the DBX folder on the Card, and rename it the same as the other .X files from the corrupted job.

When you then go to export the data, the job name will be that of the previous job, but the data will be that of the lost job.
