Client Crossrail and software firm Bentley have launched the UK’s first dedicated Building Information Modelling (Bim) academy today.
The academy aims to make the Bentley Bim technology suite available across the project supply chain and hopes to drive innovation from industry directly into future software developments.
Crossrail chief executive Andrew Wolstenholme said Bim has not been used at this scale across Europe before. “The academy will support the Government Construction Strategy by increasing the use of Bim in the construction industry and creating a lasting legacy of best practice in innovation,” said Wolstenholme.
