  • Successful STAR*NET Training

SCCS and Microsurvey recently hosted a 3 day training campus for Star*Net in which the SCCS training facility accommodated new and experienced users over the event.

    Successful STAR*NET Training

Our classroom was filled with individuals from multiple disciplines and companies, from complete beginners to experienced users. The candidates were tutored over 3 days and gained experience using the software. Teaching them to get the most beneficial use of software and practical use of data import converters, bespoke configuration for different survey types and instrumentation, setting up  the system for different projects, knowledge to understand the mathematics of the least squares adjustment and the significance of the Chi Squared test. The days also covered total station, levelling and GNSS networks with troubleshooting workflows.

Overall a great success and many thanks to all those who attended.

  • STAR*NET Experienced Users Workshop

MicroSurvey will be traveling to the United Kingdom in 2017 to host a workshop for experienced users of STAR*NET software, in addition to the "STAR*NET Certification" program that will be offered at the same facility.  This course will aim to deepen your understanding of STAR*NET converters, new features and more advanced options that you can access as you plan a campaign using STAR*NET.  This is also a chance to meet with your peers and the STAR*NET support team to learn about the variety of ways STAR*NET can be used.

  • London Survey Dinner

SCCS hosted another extremely successful and enjoyable London Survey Dinner in November this year. The event saw 145 leading members of greater London’s geospatial community gather at The Jewel Bar and Restaurant in Piccadilly for a reception, networking dinner and awards presentation. Within an enthusiastic atmosphere of conversation and music the invited guests enjoyed a three course dinner and drinks and the chance to catch up with peers, a range of SCCS staff and even a few competitors late into the night.
