Technical Support Engineer
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Job Description
This role is to support GPS, total stations, automatic and digital levels, laser levels and other construction accessories.
May be involved in on-site and remote customer installation and training.
May be involved in product quality assurance testing.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
Responsibilities
- Provides support to customer/users .
- Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Has internal and some external contacts.
- Responds to situations where self-help support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
- Reports design reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
Overall Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomous and proactive in solving problems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized individual with ability to multi-task
- This is an office based position
Skill Requirements
Experience in use of surveying equipment and site experience of civil engineering or land survey is essential for this position.

Technical Sales - GPS

Position Summary:
Responsible for direct end user sales of GPS to new and existing accounts. Work with senior management defining and
implementing a focused sales and support strategy.
Job Description:
Present and sell Leica Geosystems GPS and related products. Provide product and application training for
end users, demonstrations and technical support. Increase market share through the development
of GPS business with new and existing contractors. Provide information to manager on competitive
products and activities. Conduct sales meetings with customers.
Characteristics/Skills:
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Knowledge of surveying and construction fundamentals.
• Focussed, self motivating approach
Education/Experience:
Preferably graduate in engineering/ surveying. Experienced in field use of land surveying/ setting out.
Salary
OTE £45k plus car, laptop, mobile phone.
