SP technology is available as an upgrade to existing PowerGrade 3D systems, or as an option for new installations. It installs easily to any Leica PowerGrade 3D system, requiring no additional training for the operator to learn the system. Along with the unique PowerSnap concept, which allows easy and quick exchange of machine control panels, customers have unrivaled flexibility and speed. The cable-free snap-on/snap-off system is easy and convenient for operators, helping them work more efficiently, and now with SP technology this work is faster than ever before starting with the very first centimeter.

The key component is the SP14 sensor which provides inertial guidance (INS integrated). Together with the new, 5 times faster hydraulic control (100 Hz output compared to 20 Hz with regular GNSS), the GPS performance is significantly enhanced. Operators can work through momentary lapses in satellite coverage or lost signal, enjoying maximum uptime.
