The new Leica DISTO D3a is the upgraded successor to the Leica DISTO D3. The Leica DISTO D3a includes some great new features that you would normally find on more expensive models including Smart Horizontal Mode™ and Power Range Technology.

To ensure the Leica DISTO D3a meets the high expectations of its users, Leica developed the instrument in close cooperation with end users. The leica DISTO D3a offers great functionality whilst maintaining the high precision of all Leica instruments. The DISTO D3a combines distance and tilt measurements to open up a new variety of measuring solutions.

Smart Horizontal Mode™
By combining distance and tilt measurements the Leica DISTO D3a can determine the horizontal distance quickly and accurately. With the Leica DISTO™ D3a even measurements at an inclination of ± 45°, are always calculated by the shortest distance.



Multiple functions
The Leica DISTO D3a can calculate rectangular and triangular areas, volumes, room dimensions and various types of Pythagoras functions. A time delay release and enough memory for up to 20 measurements round off the instrument's wide range of functions – a concept designed to make your work life easier.


Multifunctional endpiece
Aim the Leica DISTO D3a straight at the target point, whether measuring out of corners, slots or from edges: with this endpiece you are equipped for all measuring situations. The DISTO D3a automatically detects the endpiece, helping to avoid expensive measuring errors.



Power Range Technology™
The Leica DISTO D3a includes integrated Power Range Technology™ which makes measuring long distances simple. With the Leica DISTO D3a you can measure up to 80m without a target plate and up to 100m with a target plate, all without having to take single step.



Brilliant and clearly arranged display
The results are displayed on the large (2”), clearly arranged and high contrast display. At the touch of a button, the display makes supplementary information available about the measurements, e.g. indirect height, room dimensions, angle information or room angles.
